does secular music make me less of a christian?
i enjoy listening to praise music in church and im moved when im there. however when im away from church i listen to bands like radiohead mudvayne led zeppelin modest mouse and the shins and everything in between(i have a very eclectic taste). i say my prayers every night and i firmly believe in going to god with my problems. i just feel so guilty because i seem to be the only one at my church who cant get in to praise music outside of church…. am i a bad person for not liking christian music and listing to mainly secular?

This is what the Word of God says on that subject:
Philip. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Secular music is full of self-glorification, self-gratification, sexual innuendo, violence, and disrespect for authority. Thus, if you think secular music has redeeming qualities then, yes, that probably does make you less of a Christian.
