In the old gospel song “Can I Get a What What”, is Jay-Z comtemplating our natural tendencies to question God?
I was listening to the lyrics (I don’t normally listen to Christian/Gospel music, but my mom recommended it), and I was touched by his profound outlook on religion and spirituality as a whole, and that even though we may believe in God, it is still perfectly natural to question it, or even have a lapse of faith once it a while.
Did anyone else take that away from the song?
I starred before I answered. Does that make me one of your cohorts?
(I hope not. I try to avoid such entanglements if possible.)
